On Tuesday I told you an agent scans domain auctions at 7am while I am asleep.
The obvious question came straight back.
"If it runs on my own machine, what happens when my laptop is shut?"
Fair question.
It is also the only one that matters here.
An agent that needs you awake is not an agent. It is a tool with extra steps.
So, honestly, there are two ways to run it.
One. On your own machine, left on. Lid closed is fine if it is plugged in and set not to sleep. Costs nothing extra. Nothing you touch ever leaves your desk.
Two. On a cheap cloud server, a few dollars a month. It runs whether your laptop is on, off, or in a bag at an airport.

With the exact settings, because "set it not to sleep" hides three checkboxes people miss.
Most people should start with the first one. Ten minutes, no server to pay for, and you get to watch the thing work first.
Then move it when you get tired of remembering to leave the laptop on.
That is the actual sequence.

It did not show the part that runs before it.
That is where people get stuck.
